Never Done

As hard as I try, I go in to the school about 7:15 and leave about 4:15, I am never able to get my desk 'clean' there is always something more that needs to be done.  

Clean

The prompt for the other day was the word clean, I finally got around to taking the photo this morning.

The mundane task of emptying the dishwasher every morning is a bit better now that I have my new white dishes.

Super Happy Mail

I got a huge box of happy mail today!  My Pebbles Design Team box of goodies arrived today and I couldn't wait to play with it!  Actually I didn't wait... I created a project already, but you have to wait - it won't be posted until February!

Cool, crisp walk

My youngest daughter and I ran around doing errands today.  Then we stopped to take Max for a walk in the bush.  He had a great time, running around, swimming, playing.  It was a cool, overcast/foggy day, but much better than rain.

Jaimee is home

Jaimee went for a sleepover last night, I think Max is happy that she is home.

Part of the family

Someone thinks we knocked out the top half of the wall to create a perch for her.  Everytime we are in the kitchen or dining room she thinks she needs to be part of the conversation and hops up onto this counter.  We of course, keep putting her down.

A New Habit

Not a very exciting photo today but I figure if I post this I will have to stick to my plan and get it made, hehehe.  I make LOTS of cards, as I am sure you are aware ;)  The problem is, I hardly ever use them, I know, my bad.  Anyhow, I am planning on, going to make a binder to hold cards for each month.  Inside the pockets with the cards will be pre-printed/ addressed labels.  That way each month my birthday, special event cards are ready and I just have to add the labels to the envelope.  I will also include some 'just because' cards so that I will send out everyday type of cards too.  There I said it, now you all have to hold me to it.

Someone got an acceptance letter for a University.  Someone is very excited.  Someone is kind of sad because someone is growing up.

Home Decor

Now that I am in the process (a very slow one at that) of repainting the whole main floor of the house - I am also painting (or repainting some items) the accessories.  I tried the black accents for quite a few years but I like white so back we go to white.  Besides, when you have leftover paint... no point in wasting it right?

Something told me

Coming home from the Doctor the other day something told me to go the alternate route.  Something told me to stop in at the Antique Store in Coombs.  I have never been in there before and hardly ever shop in antique stores, I much prefer getting a deal at a garage sale ;)  Anyhow - there was a 20% off sale and I saw this old apple crate - something told me I had to buy it, hehehe.  It is now in my living room to hold the magazines by my chair.

More Happy Mail!

My Echo Park DT package arrived today!  What a wonderful package - I couldn't wait to dig in.  I actually whipped up a couple of cards tonight (just can't share yet).  The Scoot is so fun to work with!  I have decided to try a Project Life or Project 12 this year (wish me luck) and the Photo Freedom is going to be perfect!

I got some happy mail from Jillibean Soup today!  I am hoping that this will give the mojo the jumpstart it needs!

Chloe spends much of her day watching/trying to get at the turtles.  It is like her version of TV.

Jar of good

I saw this idea on Pinterest (using a mason jar) and I really liked it.  Whenever something good, or happy happens to someone they are to write it down and date it so that next December 31st we can read through them.  The kids kind of laughed at me when I told them but they have each put some things in already :)  Hopefully this will continue throughout the year.  I have it sitting up on our counter and I see it every night at dinner so I can always remind the rest of the family about it ;)

New Scale

Love this new scale that I got from my brother for Christmas.  I have been looking for an old/vintage one for awhile now.  

The Evergrowing Layout Pile

Something tells me I need to take some time this week to get these layouts into albums!  

Update:  It took me the better part of the afternoon but I filled up 5 albums and have 2 more ready to go (need to buy the albums).  I am finally all caught up in my scrapbooking and am starting 2013 all fresh and ready to go!

New Table

Once again doing my own version of Project Life - mine is Project whenever you remember to take a photo of our day to day life :)

Today I finally got a photo of our new table.  Now if I had my way it would be painted white and then distressed for a real farmhouse style table but Jason just can't do that so I have a modern farmhouse style table - I will keep a white table cloth on it a lot to give me the white I want ;)   Now, nothing like a photo to make you see things - love the corn broom in the corner - probably still there from the kitchen reno cleaning and such - must have gotten used to it being there and didn't 'see' it LOL  In the other corner are som stools that were given to us since we now have a sitting area looking into the kitchen.  Those stools are just screaming for me to paint them and I will.

New Year's Eve

2012 was a great year, so many good things happening in our family.  But all good things have to come to an end so it is time to celebrate the coming of a New Year.  We had a quiet family night for New Year's Eve, just the kind I like.

We started off with some Apples to Apples

Then of course it was time to do the countdown and watch the ball drop

Afterwards everyone got Happy New Year's Hugs... even Max

A little bit of down time before calling it a night

We had a great New Years and I am looking forward to 2013.  My word for 2013 I think is going to be Choices (the right choices, healthy choices, fit choices, financial choices...)
