Patient

The word of the day yesterday was Patient.  I figure I was pretty patient while at dinner at my mom's, I sat quietly for awhile just waiting...

Rainbow Cake

Danica and her boyfriend wanted to make a rainbow cake.  It took a bit of figuring and improvising but they figured out how to do it.

Yes, that is Danica wearing cleaning gloves - she didn't want food coloring on her nails, hehehe

The first batch of batter ready for the oven.

Ready to be iced.

It turned out great!

Yum!

A little sunshine... well the color anyways

Finally we are on Spring Break!  I sure wish the weather knew that, I am very ready for some spring sunshine.   While I wait though, I thought I would brighten up our kitchen a bit.  I love it, such a happy little spot on counter.

Spring is near

I always love when the crocuses poke up through the ground... it means spring, my favorite season is near.

Whatcha doing?

Excuse the dirty window - the outside hasn't been cleaned yet.  Max doesn't like when I vacuum so I let him out.  Chloe is loving our new kitchen windowsill, especially if we have a bit of sunshine.  This is what I caught them doing - how cute.

Our Conehead - at least for another week :(

He went back for a checkup after a week of healing.  From the outside he looks great.  And he thinks he is all better.  He spends so much time nagging, whining and pleading to go outside, to go for a walk or a run.  However, unfortunately for him (and us) he has to keep it easy for another week, complete with cone.  It also appears that the kidneys and all are healing nicely, however - further tests have indicated that perhaps the liver is not working properly -which is probably what lead to the poor guys issues.  We now have to figure out what to do to keep him healthy.

Welcome Home Max

This is not the best 'photographic' photo of Max that I have ever taken, but it is one of my favorites.  We are very lucky that he is back home with us.  He has been at the vets since last Thursday and was very sick.  The next few weeks we are hoping he will heal and will be back to his old (young) self again.  I think he is extra happy in this photo because he has a break from the darn cone that he has to wear until Saturday.
