A new addiction...

I must admit I was the first in our family to discover Pinterest... got Dionne hooked, who in turn got Troy hooked, who told Jason how cool it was so Jason decided to check it out, he kinda likes it and finally Jaimee has gotten hooked.  "I don't understand why I like it so much" Jaimee says, "it is only pictures but I am always on it, even with my friends at lunch"  LOL, could be worse things a 16 year old does with her friends!

Pinned

Danica only started wrestling about 3 weeks ago (it started last fall) and she really LOVES it!  She went in her first tournament today and did well.  She won one of her matches by pinning her opponent, yay!

Apparently...

One day we will be empty nesters.  One day we will apparently miss this.  One day we will apparently wish we had them back.  I am pretty sure I will miss my girls when they are out on their own, but I don't think I will miss this.... ;)

Daily

I iron pretty much all my clothes everyday, from jeans to workout wear.  I even iron when we are camping.   Not sure why as I am really not a perfectionist in most areas of my life.

Getaway

Jason and I went away to the Kingfisher Spa for the weekend.  So I missed posting my photo yesterday.  This is the view from our room, so peaceful.  The next day the snow was gone and we watched the storm as it was really windy.

And just a photo I took of the vegetation, playing with my new lens still.  I love this new lens!

And an extra photo, just for good measure.  It was really windy in Courtney this morning.  We watched the storm and it seemed as though the seagulls were out playing and having a good time!

Snuggle Time

We have such a lap cat.  Whenever she gets the chance she is on someone.  However, she much prefers to be buried deep in blankets and all snuggly.

You know I love my Lululemon I really do.  But not sure I love these bags laying around on the living room furniture.  I tell ya, how many times do kids have to be told to put things away before they do it???  Apparently though... one day I'm going to miss this...I can't imagine

Rotisserie Pork Roast...

Gotta love the weekends when Jason decides to go gung ho on a dinner.  We love when he uses his barbeque/rotisserie and pork roast is one of our favorites.  Tonight he made it with baked Butternut Squash and rice...yum!

Homemade Dog Cookies

Max has some allergies and one of them is chicken.  Do you know how much chicken is in dog food and treats...?  Lots.  It can be difficult to find things that he can have.  Jason found a homemade dog cookie recipe that calls for pumpkin and other good stuff.  He tried it and Max loves them.  So faithfully about once a month Jason cooks up a batch for his 'best friend'.  Santa left the dog shaped cookie cutter in Jason's stocking this year... it was put to good use today.

The forgotten piece

As much as I love Christmas I am always happy when all the stuff gets put away and I have a clean house again.  Inevitably though, I will later find one or two pieces that I forgot to put away.  This year it is this little guy.. my 2 tiered cookie plate.  Ah well... at least he is wintery. 

The Cat Chair...

A little over a year ago Jason fed Chloe at our dinner table.  There was an extra chair left from when we had guests so he placed a bit of food on it for her.  She had her food and left... we thought that was that.  Every night since then she has come for her 'supper'.  Now we have a chair at our table just for her.  She knows when it is dinner time and she at her chair and waits patiently.  Only now she waits for at least 2 bites before leaving.

Fresh Baked

Coming home to the smell of fresh baked bread is so warm and cozy.  I love my breadmaker.

Day 2 Time to Purge???

During my Christmas break one of the things I usually do is go through my magazine basket and purge the old magazines getting ready to fill it with issues in the new year.  I keep ones I have been published in the rest I give away or recycle.  I didn't get to it this holiday.  Was very busy making Christmas gifts before Christmas and just basic daily life afterwards.  I think I need to get to it though...
