Exercise...

Not the best photos today, but the point is to document life, not really to have award winning photos.  Anyhow, I am not able to run everyday but would like to somehow get in some sort of exercise.  I decided to try Jason's spinner.  It is such and easy way to fit in about 15 minutes of exercise, hoping to do more but the seat is just not so comfy.  What I have realized though is that I want an Elliptical Machine and now am on the lookout for a good used one.

Someone is slowly becoming more of a dog and less of a pain I mean puppy ;) and is able to sit nicely for awhile anyways.

Spring means...

Today is the first day of spring, although you wouldn't know it by the crazy weather... snow, hail, sun, rain and wind all in one day.  Jason snuck outside when he could to trim our cherry tree.  Now let's hope for some cherries this summer, we normally don't have much luck.

I know that I already had a photo of Jaimee with her new car, but that was a rainy day first day photo with an iPhone.  I had to take a 'real' photo today as it was sunny and her dad had washed and waxed it for her.  Doesn't she look good in it!  

And he got away...

Unfortunately we did not catch any leprechaun this year.  We almost got him (a piece of his clothing was stuck in this trap, but the footprints told the story.  Luckily though, he left us some clues around the school and at the end we found a pot of gold chocolate coins.  The students and I had a blast this week, but now I am pooped.  Till next year...

The traps

So here are the rest of the photos I took of the traps.  I just love listening to the students as they work together discussing how they are going to build the traps, how they will work, what they are going to do with the gold... it is just priceless.

This was supposed to be my photo of the day yesterday, but I forgot to take it.  We are setting leprechaun traps and when I saw this I almost cracked up!  Remember grade ones often reverse the lowercase 'b and d'  in this case she not only did that but wrote the word in the direction she wants you to look... However, is she leading the leprechaun to her gold or her blog! LOL!

I went in early this morning to take the pics before the leprechaun did his tricks.... More photos tonight when I have more time to post.

First Car!

Jaimee has worked hard and saved her money for a year and along came this car... just what she wanted!  We are so proud of her! Way to go Jaimee!  Her first car!  (now to get that N)

Dreary Day

My photo today was actually taken by Danica with her camera.  Lovely weather (actually we had sun, rain, hail and snow all today)... oh well, I spent about 6 hours in the classroom this weekend putting things back and reorganizing after having had to move out for renos.  So for me, I'm glad the weather was like this today and yesterday :)

Everyday

Once again, I am posting more than one photo today... just pretend those ones of Max were yesterday since I didn't have time or more truthfully, the energy... 

I decided to play along with the photo friday challenge - everyday.  Something that we are doing almost everyday is helping someone with homework.  Sometimes it is just reading over and editing work, other times it is really uses up our 'old' brain cells when we are helping with math or physics...Well, this time it was easy. Danica had done a project on the human body and asked if I could make a title page for her journal.  Yippee! this kind of help I can do!  I took the front and back off the notebook, covered them with some kraft paper and then dug into my Studio Calico goodies and a few minutes later this is what I came up with (Danica had printed up and cut out the image already).  If only homework was always so fun ;)

Well the cat has been the subject of many of my daily photos so I thought it was time for Max to have the spotlight ;)

Sound of Music

So some days I have more than one photo of the day and other days I have none, so I guess it all balances out.  Danica was practicing her guitar and it sounded so peaceful.  She let me take a photo if it was just of her hands.  So I snapped quickly before she changed her mind!

Green

The Photo challenge at One Story Down is green.  It is a nice sunny, but cool, day here so I went out in search of green.  Now... I have lots of green but didn't really want the photo to be of my weeds...man do I need to get into my gardens... Anyhow I decided on this shot of the fern.

Then I thought I would try getting one for the Photo Friday challenge at The Simple Things - blurry - I kind of like this one, probably because they are bud of my hydrangea bush...love my hydrangeas!

Taking a Stand

Yes the BC Teachers are taking a stand and trying to come to an agreement with the Government.  Today was day one of our 'leaflet' duty.

Handy Man

Happy Valentine's Day Jason says to me when he bought a new vacuum hose for our built in vac.  Well it doesn't fit in the receptacle very well, in fact there was no way I could get it in.  Yesterday Jason did the vacuuming so I said, "it works better when you use it".  Well he was determined to make that hose fit better so I cold use it.  I told him not to worry about it ;)

Well he got out the dremmel and went to work.

Drat, I think the hose fits better now.  Darn it anyhow!  Why does he have to be such a handy man?
